Brodie here... so I always remember "Christmas in July" being a thing that different places promoted. It came to mind when I was getting ready to share this post, because while Santa didn't visit me this month, we did enjoy the gift of lots of zine events and progress on PHX Zine Fest! Organizers Marna and Charissa joined Amber from Native Zinestress to do a presentation at Heard Museum. April Richardson visited from L.A. to do a reading at Wasted Ink with myself, GRAPHfeeties artist and storyteller Rebecca Fish Ewan, and Left for 17 writer and poet John Quinonez.
We have lots more to come the rest of the summer, and then it's crunch time as we wrap up our fundraiser and put on the main event! Stay tuned in and logged on for more updates, events, and zine luv.
