The Art of Richard Wille
Hi, I'm Richard Wille, an artist born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I primarily work within the realms of illustration and t-shirt design with monsters being the main subject. My art gives a look into a world of macabre yet comical characters while serving as a reminder that every shadow comes from a source of light.
The zines I create often vary in structure. Sometimes they are fully illustrated short stories, sometimes they are simply collections of my art accompanied by prose or personal writing. However, the artwork is always at the forefront, wavering between silly and creepy. I'm looking forward to sharing my strange visions with other people and heari ng the stories that they interpret or draw from my work.
Femme Fotale is a photographic project by women for everyone. We provide artistic platform s for women, femme identifying and GNC individuals to show their art regardless of class or education. We saw a lack of representation for non-dominant narratives in our own community and responded by creating spaces including photo books and photography shows. By fostering a community, we uplift artists and push their work to the forefront of the arts. We are flipping traditional roles from subject to artist and encouraging individuals to show their work publicly to receive recognition in the professional world.
We would like people to know that we are really excited to be working on our sixth volume of Femme Fotale covering the topic of Health. Also, that we are super grateful for the support we have gotten over the last almost three years in ma king this zine possible. We can't wait to release Health: Volume 6 in Spring 2019!
I'm David Miller, a Chandler multimedia artist and educator. My zines are photographic and graphic-design based focusing on creative portraiture and instant film in a surreal pop format, often times collaborating with my 10 year old daughter Maggie. Zines I make include "Hello My Name Is Maggie" and "Dusk Vol. 1-3".
I want people to consider making zines as an affordable alternative to the proletariat vs. appealing to wealthy gallery patrons to supporting their artwork. I'm looking forward to producing some new zines with more recent work with Maggie for the show!
