"THE ZINE TABLE: Gender In Transition"
How is gender and our conception of it changing in not only society, but the creative world? What is a trans zine? What is a queer space? Is gay queer? How is language failing us as we navigate making art as queer and/or trans people?
Join our moderator, Phoenix poet Joy Young, for a discussion on these matters and other topics relevant to those who transcend, bend, and break the gender/sex binary. NOTICE: While cis people's presence to listen is appreciated, this space will be primarily for queer/trans people to speak.
"THE ZINE TABLE" is an ongoing series of panels and discussions put together by Brodie Foster Hubbard in conjunction with other zine creators and fest organizers. The first installment was an L.A. DIY history panel at The Pop-Hop as part of L.A. Zine Fest in partnership with Razorcake/Gorsky Press, Inc., the second was a Long Beach DIY history panel at Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) as part of Long Beach Zine Fest.
